Lori Larsen is winning the vote for Stevens County auditor by a landslide.
The initial tally in today's general election shows she is leading 8,008 votes, or 61.4 percent.
Incumbent Tim Gray trails with 5,030 votes, or 38.6 percent.
“I'm feeling good,” Larson said after learning of the count. “I think the people all agreed that 26 years in office was too long, and I was able to convinced them that I was qualified for the job.”
Gray said he appreciated his time in office.
“I think my 26 years are up,” Gray said as the results were counted by county officials. “I want to thank the people of Stevens County for their years of support.
"And I want to wish Lori the best.”
