Local film ‘Rum Runners' on screen at the Alpine - May 25-26

William and Teresa Nelson, and ITD Productions have released their award winning film; Rum Runners, at the Alpine Theater in Colville May 25-26. There will be no charge for cast and crew members. There will be a $3 charge for all other patrons.

The film was shot in Spokane, Valley, Chewelah, Colville, Barstow, Orient and Idaho and features local actors. The film stars Yves Bright, Brian Boyd, and Vernon Wells, who has also starred with Bruce Willis, Mel Gibson and Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Rum Runners recently appeared at the WorldFest in Houston, Texas, where it was named the Remi Winner, the top award for its category.

A social hour is scheduled for 6 p.m. on both evenings. Beer and wine will be available for purchase at the Alpine Theater and next door, the Dominion Distillery will be open. On May 25, Blues Hall of Fame inductee Bryan Warhall will perform starting at 6 p.m. at the Dominion.

Rum Runners will show at 7 p.m. at the Alpine Theater with a Q&A period for the producer, writer and director afterwards. On May 26, social hour will begin at 6 p.m. and the film will start at 7 p.m. This film has an “R” rating for language.
