Population of North Stevens County towns continues to grow in 2017

The cities of Colville, Chewelah and Kettle Falls all saw modest population growths over the past year, according to statistics recently released by the Office of Financial Management.
According to the recent population estimates compiled by the state agency, Colville’s current population is pegged at 4,745 residents, an increase of 15 residents from 2017.
Chewelah’s 2018 population grew by 15 residents over the past year from 2,655 to 2,670. Kettle Falls added 20 new residents over the past year to increase its population to 1,640.
