Sen. Murray: Senate Republicans Should Put Constitution and Country Above Partisanship and Obstruction

On Feb. 23, Washington state Senator Patty Murray (D) spoke on the Senate floor, calling on Republicans to work with the President and Senate Democrats to confirm a Supreme Court Justice in a reasonable time frame once a nominee has been chosen, according to a press release.

“I am hopeful Republicans step back from this dangerous and partisan path they are on—and work with us to consider and confirm a nominee in a reasonable timeframe,” said Senator Murray. “Families across the country deserve to have a functioning Supreme Court—and a Congress that works well enough to allow that to happen.”
