Colville, one of the top programs at Class 1A, tested the Tri-State waters once again last Friday and Saturday. The Indians finished eighth in the loaded field with 138 points.
CHS was led by defending State champion TJ Baun, who finished second at 120 pounds. Baun, who won an individual title at last year’s Tri-State, lost a tough 13-9 decision to Moses Lake’s Nick Hara in the championship on Saturday.
The Indians will stay busy during the holiday.
Colville will have wrestlers in the field of the Tri-County at Central Valley High School on Dec. 22 and the Freeman Invite on Dec. 30.
CHS is in the field again for the Cheney Invitational on Jan. 2.
