With the victory over Odessa-Harrington, the Panthers will move on to play the Touchet Indians (8-1, 6-1) on Saturday at Newport High School. The high-scoring Indians will present a known foe to Cusick.
“We’ve been playing them for the last few years,” Finley said of a tough opponent. “It has always been a slugfest down to the wire. They have some good quickness and they do a lot of the same things they have done in the past.”
Last year in the opening round of the state playoffs, CHS defeated Touchet 34-28.
Game time Saturday at Newport is 1 p.m.
