Marsha May Fox, age 80, passed away on July 29, 2026. She passed peacefully with her family by her side. Marsha was born on December 13, 1945, the daughter of Francis “Buck” and Elaine (Patterson) McGrew. Her family moved to the Colville area when she was very young.
She attended grade school at the Highland Loop Schoolhouse and graduated from Colville High School in 1963. Marsha caught the eye of a young man from Kettle Falls by the name of Don Fox, at an American Legion Hall dance. He asked her to dance and on February 21, 1964 they exchanged vows. Don had enlisted in the U.S. Army and she traveled with him throughout his service.
In 1970 they returned to the Kettle Falls area. Marsha loved farming and raising livestock. But her true passion was horses. She rode and broke horses for many years. Marsha spent countless hours in her garden. She was a great dancer and enjoyed music. Her laughter and contagious cackle will be dearly missed. Marsha was preceded in death by her parents, “Buck” and Elaine McGrew; siblings, Belva, Jerry, Donna, and Jean. She is survived by her husband, Donald “Don” Fox, at the home; children Shane Fox of Kettle Falls, Melissa “Missy” Stanard and her husband Alan of Kettle Falls, Heather Clark and her husband Gary of Colville, Aaron Fox and his wife Sarah of Lavernia, TX; nine grandchildren, Cody Fox, Lucas Fox, Brandon Hoover, Jocelyn Stanard, Jenna Stanard, Brian Clark, Brianna Clark, Sebastian Fox and Anderson Fox; eight great-grandchildren, Emberlyn, Braxton, Scottie, Bo, Gabryella, Zoey, Harrison and Regan; one sister, Debbie Georgariou and her husband Phil; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
