

Cody Adams Throws No-Hitter

Kettle Falls' catched turned pitcher has been unhittable and the Bulldogs are taking advantage of it.
Kettle Falls baseball won three of four games last week, sweeping three games from Davenport and falling to Colville to move to 6-10 on the season. Cody Adams showed himself to be a power on the mound, allowing zero hits in two appearances this week.
The Bulldogs opened the week with a 10-0 win over Davenport on April 21. Kettle Falls scored one run in the first inning, two in the third, two in the third and fourth, followed by five runs in the sixth.
Adams led the way on the mound, throwing a six-inning no-hitter. Adams struck out 15 and did not walk a batter in the win.
Kettle Falls finished with six hits. Micah Langhre had two hits and drove in a run, while Danny Searson drove in three runs. Zander Johnson doubled and added three RBIs. Zac Burch scored three runs and drew three walks.
The Bulldogs dropped a 12-4 game to Colville on Wednesday, April 22. Kettle Falls scored all four of its runs in the third inning, but Colville answered with six unanswered runs and finished with 12 hits.
Burch went 2-for-3 with a double and a run scored for Kettle Falls. Searson had a hit and drove in two runs, while Josh Shope and Shaiden Brown each added doubles. Shope also drove in a run, as did Kaden Reighard.
Shope took the loss on the mound, allowing six runs, three earned, over three innings. Shaiden Brown and Joseph Young also pitched in relief.
Kettle Falls bounced back Saturday, April 25, with a 20-0 win over Davenport in the first game of a doubleheader. The Bulldogs scored nine runs in the first inning to take control early.
Kettle Falls collected 15 hits in the win. Ben Higgins went 2-for-2 with a double, two runs scored, and four RBIs. Langhre added two hits, three runs and two RBIs, while Adams had three hits, and drove in four runs.
Searson tripled, scored twice and drove in two runs. Johnson had two hits and two RBIs, while Young doubled, scored four runs and drew three walks. Alex Mazineck doubled, scored twice, and drove in two runs.
Adams earned the win, throwing four scoreless innings with no hits allowed. He struck out 11 and walked two. Young pitched the final inning, allowing one hit and striking out two.
The Bulldogs completed the sweep with a 7-5 win in the second game Saturday. Kettle Falls led 3-0 after the first inning, then added runs in the fourth and fifth, before scoring twice in the sixth.
Langhre led the offense, going 2-for-4 with a double, three RBIs, and a run scored. Higgins added two hits, a double, and a run. Searson and Brown each drove in a run.
Searson started on the mound, allowing four runs, two earned, over 3 1/3 innings while striking out six. Johnson earned the win in relief, throwing 3 2/3 innings and allowing one run while striking out five.
