Kettle Falls opened with a 27-4 win over Davenport in the first game, scoring 16 runs in the sixth inning to cap another strong offensive showing. The Bulldogs finished with 11 hits, 18 walks, and 26 RBIs.

Thivierge Top Local Score in Chewelah Tournament

On the boys side, Kettle Falls’ Mace Thivierge posted the top local score of 82. He finished among the best rounds listed at the tournament, behind Northwest Christian’s Dylan Zimmerman, who shot a 79, St. George’s Matthew Longstreth, who carded an 80, and Davenport’s Mac Larmer, who shot an 81.

Sety Wins at 2B/1B League Meetup in Newport

Chewelah’s boys finished seventh in the team standings with 47 points, led by a big day from Francis Sety. Sety won the 400 meters in 52.98 seconds, captured the high jump at 5 feet, 10 inches, and added another victory in the triple jump with a leap of 39 feet, 6 inches. AJ Kent also scored for the Cougars with a third-place finish in the 200 in 24.33.
