With rain making the home field soggy, Colville’s football team struggled to get its offense going Thursday night, Sept. 24, as Okanogan pulled away for a 33-0 victory, dropping the Crimson Hawks to 1-3 on the season. The game remained scoreless through the first quarter before Okanogan broke through with an 83-yard touchdown pass in the second quarter to take a 7-0 lead into halftime.

Okanogan then took control in the second half, scoring on runs of 41 and 35 yards in the third quarter before adding a 12-yard rushing touchdown. The Bulldogs capped off their scoring, recovering a kickoff fumble and taking it into the endzone. Colville finished with 80 passing yards from Gunnar Baker, who completed seven of 14 attempts. Jeff Sears completed his only pass for 12 yards.

On the ground, Jayson Clark led Colville with 33 yards on 10 carries. Baxter Phipps added 28 yards on 11 attempts, Jeff Sears rushed for 22 yards on four carries, and Baker added 20 yards on six carries. Sears was Colville’s leading receiver with three catches for 59 yards, including a 51-yard reception. Defensively, Clark and Baker each finished with seven total tackles. Toby Fowler recorded five, while Raider McCormick and Trent Seitters also finished with five apiece.
