Colville’s boys soccer team pushed its winning streak to three matches last week, picking up a 5-2 victory over Newport on April 14, following it with a 7-1 Northeast A league win over Riverside on April 16.
Against Newport, the Crimson Hawks got off to a fast start and built control early. Kayson Dupuis scored twice in the first half, both times off assists from Jeff Sears, while Trent Rarrick added a goal off a Parker Sackman assist. Sam Sears also found the net in the opening half on an assist from Rarrick as Colville built a 4-1 lead. In the second half, Isaac Peterson added another goal, again with Rarrick assisting, as the Crimson Hawks finished off the 5-2 win. Newport scored once in each half.
Colville followed that performance with an offensive outburst in a 7-1 road win over Riverside on April 16. Rarrick turned in a huge match, scoring three goals for a hat trick. He scored twice in the first half, finding the net at 25:03 and 39:45, then completed the hat trick just 36 seconds into the second half. Jeff Sears added a goal at 50:06, Ari Stewart scored at 54:36, Payton Landry added one at 69:45, and Sam Sears capped the scoring at 71:57. Riverside’s lone goal came from Liam Leach at 77:21.
The Crimson Hawks outshot Riverside 26-12, while Colville goalkeeper Otter recorded six saves. Colville improved to 5-4 overall and 3-1 in Northeast A play.
