Donation Supports Kettle Falls Grumpy Grouch Fun Run

A former Eastern Washington University track athlete donated $400 to support this year’s Grumpy Grouch Fun Run and the Kettle Falls track and field program. Kettle Falls Track and Field Coach Monty Jones said Tom Hewett, one of his Hall of Fame track teammates from Eastern Washington University, made the donation toward the June 5 event. Jones said residents Charles and Rose Kelly will run in Hewett’s honor. Jones thanked Hewett for his generosity and said the donation will help continue building opportunities for Kettle Falls athletes while supporting the program’s tradition.
