Food Truck and Catering Business Opens in Springdale

New catering business Country Comfort Kitchen and Catering will soon be opening its doors. Based in Springdale, owner Machelle Brossman said she plans to serve hungry clients in an approximately 100-mile radius. “I’ll be bringing scratchmade comfort food to a permanent commercial kitchen right here in Springdale,” said Brossman.

“The new kitchen will serve as the powerhouse for our upcoming traveling food trailer, premier event catering, and a unique takeout experience.” Brossman said she has an extensive history of working in restaurants, coffee shops, and catering in the Trout Creek area of Montana. Her husband has spent the past 12 years working in Springdale in the asphalt industry, and she said she plans on relocating permanently to the area to help grow the new business. “Also, it is really exciting to see my husband more and to give back to the community,” she said.

“I’m currently building the food trailer for events, and I just had the permanent building officially moved. This will be a support building for the business.” Brossman said she has created a rotating scratchmade menu that ranges from smoked ribs, homemade bacon potato salad, stuffed chicken breasts, smashburgers, as well as fresh acai fruit bowls and soft serve ice cream desserts.

“I will also take customer requests. The menu will change every couple of weeks,” she added. Country Comfort Kitchen and Catering will offer customers catering for events, order-ahead group meals, and pop-up events. Brossman said she will also provide on-site chef services. “You can hire me to cook, and I will come to you. You buy the food, and I will be your chef.” She continued, “We are not a restaurant or walk-in dining place. I plan on opening as soon as the paperwork is complete and the county inspection is done.

There have been many hurdles to getting things up and running, and the process has been time-consuming. But the people are great in Washington. “I love to give back. I am a cancer survivor, so I am a fighter, and I like to motivate people. I like to give jobs to people. I want to be an example of surviving in the face of hardship. Giving back is so important to me. I recently donated meals to the entire summer staff at Mary Walker Schools. I will work with people who may not be able to afford a quote for my services. I will work with you.”
