The Kettle Falls Bulldogs continue to battle through a challenging early baseball season, sitting at 1-6 after a tough week that included multiple matchups against Chewelah.

The Bulldogs opened the week with a 16-5 loss to Chewelah on March 25, where Kettle Falls showed flashes offensively but struggled to contain the Cougars’ bats. The Bulldogs collected six hits in the game, with contributions from Cody Adams, Ryder Subile, and Micah Langrehr. Kettle Falls plated runs in the first, third and fourth innings, but Chewelah’s consistent scoring and big innings proved too much to overcome.

Kettle Falls returned to action Saturday, March 28, for a doubleheader against Chewelah, falling 14-4 in the opener. The Bulldogs managed three hits, including contributions from Adams and Cooper McKern.

In the second game, the Bulldogs were held scoreless in a 13-0 loss, managing just two hits as Chewelah’s pitching limited opportunities. Jaxon Fandery and Micah Langrehr recorded the team’s hits.

Pitching depth has been tested during the early part of the season, with multiple players seeing time on the mound. Adams, Zander Johnson, and Shaiden Brown each contributed innings during the week as Kettle Falls continues to develop its staff.
