Kettle Falls Softball Sweeps Davenport

Kettle Falls softball swept Davenport last week, using two big offensive performances to move to 4-10 on the season.

Kettle Falls opened with a 27-4 win over Davenport in the first game, scoring 16 runs in the sixth inning to cap another strong offensive showing. The Bulldogs finished with 11 hits, 18 walks, and 26 RBIs.

Heira Palumbo led the offense, going 4-for-5 with a double and seven RBIs. Northport's Persephone Ste. Marie went 2-for-3 with three RBIs, while Kara Ferguson went 2-for-6 and two RBIs.

Brya Fay had one hit – a triple – but finished the game with six RBIs and walked six times. 

Lilly Larsen again went the distance in the circle, allowing four runs, two earned, on six hits over six innings. She struck out eight and walked four.

The Bulldogs followed up with a 15-2 win over Davenport, scoring five runs in the fifth inning, five more in the sixth, and four in the seventh to pull away. Kettle Falls finished with seven hits and took advantage of six walks.

Emily Davenport doubled and drove in two runs. Palumbo had three hits, scored twice, drove in three runs, and stole a base. Keilana Rockwell also drove in two runs off one hit. 

Larsen earned the win in the circle, throwing a complete game. She allowed two runs, one earned, on four hits over seven innings while striking out 12 and walking two.
