The Rotary Club of Kettle Falls announced the purchase and donation of a new electronic community sign for the city of Kettle Falls on Feb. 21. The sign provides a “modern and highly visible way” to share information with residents and visitors, according to Rotary officials.
The project was funded through the Rotary’s local fundraising efforts, along with a “significant” contribution from one anonymous donor.
“This is a project our Rotary club is extremely proud of,” said Rotary Club of Kettle Falls President Grace Powell. “The goal was to create something lasting that benefits the entire community. This sign will help keep people informed and connected, and it will highlight all the great things happening in Kettle Falls.”
Powell said the sign will be used to promote local activities, school events, sports schedules, city announcements, and community celebrations. Rotary members worked with the city to support the project.
According to their website, the Rotary Club of Kettle Falls is a local service organization dedicated to strengthening the community through volunteer service and fundraising projects. Proceeds from Rotary fundraising events help support scholarships, youth programs, and community improvement efforts throughout the Kettle Falls area.
