New Coverage Tower Placed on Colville Mountain

Area residents may have spotted a tower being placed on Colville Mountain in mid-June, raising questions about its purpose and possible benefits. The tower was installed by Day Wireless Systems, a telecommunications company with an office located in Spokane Valley, and serving Stevens and Ferry counties. According to Day Wireless Systems officials, the tower, located on Colville Mountain and placed about two miles north of city limits, provides coverage of Highway 395, from Kettle Falls to Addy.
