Paramores Named Chewelah Honored Citizens

Ben and Sally Paramore have been selected as this year’s Honored Citizens by the Chewelah Chamber of Commerce. The couple will help open the upcoming 4th of July parade as part of the Honor Guard, recognizing their years of volunteer work and service to the Chewelah community.

According to chamber officials, the Paramores have played a leading role in several major projects at the Chewelah Pioneer Cemetery. Their work includes partnerships with the Spokane Falls Chapter, the Washington State Society Daughters of American Colonists, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2047, American Legion Post 54, the Jonas Babcock Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution, and other community organizations.

Those efforts helped bring a Pomeroy Foundation Historical Marker and a Never Forget Garden to the cemetery, the chamber has said.
