Real Estate Agent Named Rotarian of the Year

The Rotary Club of Colville announced Scott Thompson as the 2025- 2026 Rotarian of the Year on July 30. The Rotary Club of Colville membership chairman was chosen as the year’s new Rotarian of the Year by former club president, Sarah Groves.

According to Kelli Lippert, current Rotary Club of Colville president, “The Rotarian of last year gets to decide the new Rotarian of the Year.” Lippert recognized Thompson’s dedication to the club by bringing in new club members along with Groves. “They both did a great job of bringing in new members,” said Lippert. Thompson, who works as a real estate agent for Remax in Colville, expressed his surprise and gratitude for the recognition of Rotarian of the Year. “I wasn’t expecting it,” said Thompson.

“It’s an honor to be recognized. It felt great.” Thompson said the Rotary Club of Colville is one of the longest lasting rotary clubs around the world with growing numbers of members joining. Thompson also listed the club’s community work, including the Epic Day of Service project for the Colville Valley Animal Sanctuary, where volunteers built a chain-link fence, installed steps, and did landscaping maintenance on June 6.
