Rosenthal Places 10th in Javelin at State

Kettle Falls senior Owen Rosenthal capped his track and field season with a top-10 finish at the State 2B Track and Field Championships in Yakima. Rosenthal placed 10th in the boys javelin with a throw of 145 feet, finishing among the state’s top throwers in the Class 2B field. River View’s Chris Espinoza won the state title at 168-11, while Adna’s Kade Pearson placed second at 167-5 and La Conner’s Flint Huizenga took third at 163-4. His throw put him ahead of Onalaska’s Nolan Hornsby, Brewster’s Jacob Piechalski, Orcas Island’s Tomasi Malo, Newport’s Nathan Donati, Saint George’s Pierce English and Chewelah’s Frank Sety in the final standings.
