Sety’s Garden Center Open Again in Downtown Chewelah

Sety’s Garden Center has reopened in downtown Chewelah after a fire forced the nursery to shrink considerably to make room for a temporary container hardware store. The garden center, first opened in 2013 as part of the former Sety’s Ace Hardware, had been one of the store’s most recognizable features and was missed by many customers. Owners Paul and Jessica Sety have since worked to bring the space back across the street from Sety’s Ace Hardware at 306 E. Main Ave. Now in its 14th season, Sety’s Garden Center will be open daily from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. throughout the season. Jessica Sety has stocked the center with plants selected for the local climate and growing season, including vegetable starts, annuals, perennials, trees and shrubs. The center also offers soils.
