

Stevens County School Districts Tally Up Election Results

Multiple school districts in Stevens County ran levies, with ballots turned in by Feb. 10. The general election results for Stevens County were pulled from results.votewa.gov, and are accurate as of Monday, Feb. 16.
The results include:
Colville School District
Colville School District ran a replacement Educational Programs and Operations (EPO) Levy, which passed with 1,892 (57.06%) voting in favor. According tothe election results, 1,424 voters (42.94%) voted against it.
Mary Walker School District
Mary Walker School District’s replacement EPO Levy has 53.42% (586) voting in favor, and 46.98% (511) voting against.
Valley School District
Valley School District’s replacement EPO levy is also favored to pass, with 57.40% (190) voting for the levy and 42.6% (141).
Wellpinit School District
Wellpinit School District #49 ran a replacement EPO Levy. According to election results, the levy passed with 72.58% of voters (45 votes) approving the levy, and 27.42%, or 17 voters, voting against it.
Election results are scheduled to be certified on Feb. 20. According to the Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction, EPO levies require a simple majority to pass.
