Aaron William Smith Davis

Aaron William Smith Davis, passed away August 24, 2026, after striking a deer while traveling home on his motorcycle. Aaron was born on January 17, 1987, in San Antonio, Texas. Aaron was a loving father, a devoted husband, family man, and friend. He was dedicated to protecting the ones he loved and his community.  

Twenty-three years ago, Aaron met the love of his life, Catrina, his high school sweetheart. A few years into their relationship, they welcomed the birth of their first daughter. From that moment on, Aaron committed his life to providing for his wife and the family they were growing together. Aaron embraced his role as a father and considered it one of his greatest accomplishments. He and Catrina welcomed four more beautiful children to their loving family over the next several years. He loved his family deeply and carried the pride of being a father everywhere he went. His love for them was not only shown through his words, but everything he did. While raising his family, Aaron continued to work full time and went to school. 

He earned his bachelor’s degree in criminal justice. Aaron later met the qualifications to begin serving his community as a local police officer. With the support of his wife, family and friends, he had achieved his dream career. The blue family was an extension of Aaron. It was one of his callings. He lived to serve and protect more than just his family and took pride in doing so. Aaron offered his heart in every moment and with everyone. He changed lives and gave grace and goodness to families outside of his own. 

He encouraged people to be better every day and to have faith. He was someone who carried his faith with him and was blessed to share it. Aaron had a passion for riding his motorcycle and he passed away doing something he loved. He would encourage anyone to continue doing so and not to let his passing scare them away from something they love. He liked to play video games, especially Tarkov. He was a huge nerd, whose passion to live stream on Twitch inspired his own online community of people who also shared this same passion. Aaron also enjoyed skateboarding and turning a wrench on his motorcycles. Aaron’s positive nature was infectious and will forever reside in the hearts of those he met. 

He was protective, strong, loyal, ambitious, generous, kind, comforting, and granted stillness and quiet in the business of life. Aaron’s family offered these thoughts, “You may be gone; however, your existence will never truly disappear. Pieces of you still remain in the memories you have left behind, in the love you gave, and in every life you touched. 

We will miss you… Love you bye…” Aaron is survived by his wife; Catrina Davis: children; Ellise, Zachery, Shyce, Kyra, and Cade Davis, all of Colville, WA: Mom & Dad; Deborah and Hollis Smith: father; Chad Gardner and half-brother, Garrett Gardner of Texas. The memorial service for Aaron W. S. Davis began at 1:00 p.m., on Monday, September 7, 2026 at the Colville High School Gymnasium.
