Arla Rae Woolard

Arla Rae Woolard passed away on September 11, 2026, in Spokane, Washington. Arla was born in Hamilton, Montana, to her parents Herman and Miriam Bruggenkamp. Arla contributed significantly to the upbringing of her siblings. Arla and her husband, Dick loved to travel by car, especially to Reno, Nevada, and Arizona. They both had a passion for gardening and fishing trips for trout. 

Arla was a devout Catholic, and an entrepreneur. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, and spending time with her family and friends. Arla also had a heart for her cats, homing each and every stray cat she could find. Arla is preceded in death by her husband, Dick Woolard, son, Timothy Laird, parents, Herman and Miriam Bruggenkamp, her sisters, Betty Ann, Helen, LaNere, Nola, brothers, Herman Arnold, David, Daniel, and Jack. Arla is survived by her brother, Steven, sister- in ląw, Julie, and numerous nieces and nephews. 

She will be missed by many. The Mass of Christian burial will be held at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Colville, Washington, on Tuesday, September 29, 2026, at 1 p.m. A graveside service will follow at The Mountain View Park Cemetery.
