Arleen June Tolliver

Arleen June Tolliver, who was born on January 29, 1959, in Colville, Washington, passed away on August 16, 2026. She was the beloved daughter of Gladys and Lawrence Tolliver and spent her childhood in the beautiful Kettle River Valley, where she developed a lifelong love for the outdoors, country life, and the close-knit rural community. 

Arleen was a bright student, graduating as valedictorian of her high school class before going on to earn her college degree from Spokane Community College. Later, she found her calling in real estate and title insurance, where she had a special talent for helping others and found great joy in giving, supporting, and building connections. Arleen loved being outdoors, often hiking and fishing near her home. 

She also cherished family get-togethers and events at the local grange hall. Her generous spirit and constant willingness to lend a hand to those in need were always evident in her actions. She is survived by her sons, Dane Vanter Vanter, Kurt Vande Vanter, and Connor Tolliver, as well as her sisters, Tina Matney and Larena Snyder. She also leaves behind many grandchildren whom she adored. 

Her kindness, strength, and love will always be remembered by those who knew her. A celebration of Arleen’s life will be held at the Kettle River Grange at 2 p.m. on Saturday, September 12, 2026.
