Darrell R. Even

Darrell was a long-time resident of Colville, who passed away at his home on March 20th, 2026.

Born in 1939, he was raised on the east coast and met his wife Vivian in high school. After marrying, they moved west, eventually to Colville, where Darrell worked for the Forest Service. 

He enjoyed the outdoors, working in the forest, working in his garden, traveling the world, and striking up conversations with people wherever he went.

He was a questioner of life, always seeking answers to his many questions.

He is survived by: his wife, Vivian; daughter Christina (John); grandchildren Christopher (Lucille), Amanda, and Josh; brother Dan (Kathy), his brother John's wife Bernadette; and other family, particularly nieces Allison (Trae) and Jo (Dwayne). He was preceded in death by his son, Chris.

A celebration of life will be Saturday, April 18th, at 2pm, at the Colville Free Methodist Church,

1221 E. Hawthorne.
