But those that wait upon thy Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run and not be weary; and they shall walk and not faint.” Isaiah 40:30 This passage of scripture of encouragement, that trusting and patiently on God provides the strength to endure life’s challenges until or death. Diana’s favorite Bible verse was fulfilled on June 4, 2026 as she passed from this life into glory in Knoxville, Tennessee. Diana Kay Fox was born August 10th, 1946 in Colville, WA to Jess and Edith (Anderson) Fox. At a tender young age, her mother passed away, leaving her and her three brothers Gary, Terry, and Virgil to live with family members as their father worked to support his family. With Jess’s marriage to Leona the family was reunited. Diana was a 12-year student of Colville High School. During her senior year she met Patrick J. Graham, publisher and owner of the Statesman-Examiner. They were married in June of 1965. With this union came the births: Shannon (1966), Kelly (1968), and Kasey (1974). Pat’s Irish pride was given to the name of their three children. As a wife, mother, and homemaker life was full for Diana. Pat and she were avid golfers, and enjoyed community life in Colville until their marriage ended. In December of 1984, Diana married local businessman Frank L. Matney. Their years together were full of adventures as they worked side by side to develop raw timber ground in Matney’s Lumber and Real Estate land developments. Many of their developed parcels are visible today: Corbett Creek, Tiger Tracts, Dolomite, Crown Ridge, Laurier, Mission Ridge, Abercrombie, Danville, Mt. Spokane, Heritage lake, Trout Creek, Lynx Creek, Hall Creek, Snag Cove, China Bend, and the list goes on of their endeavors. Their home on Aladdin and Heritage Lake was a host of many celebrations and family gatherings. Frank and Diana were active members of Colville Assembly of God, until Frank’s passing at their Heritage Lake Cabin on June 30, 2002. In 2009 Gary Broyles and Diana married; much joy and happiness. They enjoyed their homes in Colville, Lake Heritage, and Suncity, Arizona, with friends and family. They attended Grace Bible Church in Colville and church on the Green, Arizona, until Gary’s passing in 2017. Diana continued to enjoy life in Colville and Arizona with friends and family. In 2023 she decided one last adventure was in her future and made the leap of moving to Knoxville, Tennessee. To be near Kasey, her daughter, son-in-law Lee, and grandson, Patrick with whom she had a special bond. There she made wonderful friends with her neighbors and enjoyed southern living until her passing. Diana is survived by her brothers Virgil Fox, Colville, and Terry Fox, Usk, Wa., children Shannon (Dave) Taylor, Colville, Wa, Kelly Graham, Colville, Wa., and Kasey (lee) Knoxville, Tennessee. Stepsons: Mike Matney, Kettle Falls, Wa., Ron Matney, Colville, Wa., Paul Broyles, Spokane, Wa., Grandchildren: Ryonn (Belinda) Taylor, Solomons Island, Maryland, Katie Graham, Brooklyn, New York, and Patrick Reynolds, Knoxville, Great grandchildren; Kiera and Daelan Taylor, Solomons Island, Maryland.
