With heavy hearts, we share that our hero with a heart of gold, Dylan, passed away suddenly on February 11, 2026, while attempting to rescue someone from a burning house. Dylan leaves behind many cherished memories with his best canine friend, Summer.

Dylan was born in Pontiac, Michigan, and moved to Hunters, Washington, in 2005.

A 2023 graduate of Columbia High School in Hunters, WA, Dylan excelled in Track, played Football and Basketball, and was a member of the school’s band horn section. He found great joy in nature – whether he was hiking, kayaking, fishing, camping, or sharing jokes around a campfire on the Columbia River. Music was his passion; he was constantly listening to, playing, or creating his own. Known for his incredible sense of humor, Dylan had a unique gift for making people laugh, even in the most unexpected moments. Above all, he loved spending time with his family and friends.

Sisters: Leeya Young, Hunters, WA, Christina (Matt) Mehnert, Waterford, MI, and Nicole Wood, Hunters, WA

Girlfriend: Kaylee Seyler, Spokane West End, WA

Preceded in death by Grandparents Ernest and Bernice Latimer of Waterford, MI

Henry and Lena Young of Sweetwater, Tenn

Michael L. Young Jr. of Michita Falls, Tx

He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

There will be a memorial service for Dylan on Sunday, March 1st at 12:30 at Cedonia Community Church.
