Kenneth Melvin Egland born October 23, 1961, passed peacefully at his home in Addy, Washington, on May 24, 2026 surrounded by the love and memories of his family. His passing has left deep sadness among relatives, friends, and everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. Ken was a devoted father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle and friend who always brought warmth and laughter into every room. He was known for his bright smile, kind heart, and playful sense of humor that could quickly lighten the mood. He is survived by his sons Kyle (Ashley), Lex Egland, and Donald Dykstra (Shorie), along with his daughter Heather Egland. Ken also leaves behind his loving mother Donna Egland and his sisters Jan and Terri Egland. His memory will continue through his many nieces, nephews, and his 11 beloved grandchildren whom he deeply cherished. Spending time with his family and watching his grandchildren grow brought him great happiness throughout his life. Ken graduated from high school and later earned two college degrees during his lifetime. He was passionate about working in the sawmills and the mechanical industry, where his hard work and dedication earned the respect of many coworkers and friends. Outside of work, Ken found peace and joy in the great outdoors. He was an avid hunter and fisherman who never missed opening day and always looked forward to those special outdoor traditions. His love for fast cars perfectly matched his energetic spirit and adventurous personality. Ken also enjoyed joking with loved ones and was famous for sneaking up to give someone a playful scare. Celebration of life will be at 1663 Hutchison Rd. Addy, Wa from 1-3 p.m. on June 6, 2026.
