Leon, born on March 14, 1937, in Menominee, Michigan, was a man whose life was a tapestry of stories, laughter, and love. He passed away peacefully on July 31, 2026. A proud veteran, Leon served his country with distinction in the Air Force as an aircraft mechanic. His commitment to his duties and his country was unwavering, a testament to his strength of character and dedication.

Leon was a natural storyteller, always ready with a tale that could captivate an audience, whether it was a room full of friends or a quiet moment with family. His stories were more than just words; they were a reflection of his wisdom, wit, and the warmth he shared with everyone he met. Leon is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, a son and daughter-in-law, three grandchildren, and a great-grandson. The family is profoundly grateful for the exceptional care, love, and support he received from the dedicated staff at River Mountain Assisted Living and River Mountain Village Advanced Care. Their compassion and kindness made a world of difference in his final days.
