Margaret E. Dickinson (Maggie)

Maggie was born in Los Angeles, CA on December 2, 1942. She left this world in Spokane, WA, on Saturday, June 6, 2026, after realizing she couldn’t teach her husband of 64 years anything more. Maggie was anxious to see her sister Francie and her parents Ted and Jean Keithly, who preceded her in death. She leaves behind her son Michael (Sandra and granddaughter Arianna), sister Carol Shinee’ (Richard), husband Kent, and good friends Denice and Darlene. She loved the ocean and sailing off the coast of California at the Channel Islands. She was a fabulous Helmsman and always kept us on course. Her biggest love was for animals. She worked as a volunteer fostering, transporting, and finding homes with many organizations forever before moving here. For many years she volunteered for Stevens County Cat Care in the recovery station and on the Governing Board as president. She also helped our community by volunteering and serving on the Governing Board as President for NEW Health Orient Clinic. She and Kent spent 35 years as owners of the Barstow General Store where countless friends were made. Maggie struggled with M.S. for 45 years. It never took away her love of life and laughter. Through the years of her declining health, she is now dancing in the light of the heavens.
